Your piece doesn’t get the natural oils your own hair does, so a little care goes a long way. Here’s our routine to keep her soft, shiny and lasting.

Every day
Wear and store
Use our detangling brush. It’s gentle on the knots.
Keeping your piece on a stand between wears helps preserve her style, so you’ll need to heat style less.
Wash day
Every 4 weeks
- Shampoo gently
Use our Replenish shampoo. Don’t scrub: smooth it on in a downward motion.
- Condition
Follow with our Restore conditioner, again smoothing it on in a downward motion.
- Rinse cool
Rinse everything out with cool to lukewarm water, never hot.
- Air dry completely
Let your wig or topper dry all the way before styling or brushing.
- Finish with Rejuvenate
Once dry, rub our Rejuvenate gloss serum between your hands and run it through the mid-lengths and ends to keep them from getting dry.
Styling
Keep the heat low
The lower the heat, the better. Always use a heat protectant.
Especially on hand-tied areas, since they’re more fragile.
Look for sulfate-free, alcohol-free, paraben-free and sodium chloride-free products.
Wash in cold water, wash it separately, and limit washing to slow fading.

What we don’t recommend
The hair is tied through the lace top, so putting on and removing adhesive will cause your piece to shed.
It’s hard to remove and causes buildup. Scrubbing it off can damage the knots and cause shedding.
We don’t recommend lightening or darkening a piece you receive from us.
Bleached knots give a softer hairline but shed faster. If longevity matters most, we suggest powder to hide the knots instead.
