Wigs vs. Toppers

Wigs cover the whole head and can be used for a variety of reasons, fashionably when you just want a change, to cover thinning hair or even total loss of hair. Wigs will cover your natural hair completely, there are a variety of cap styles available for wigs. Some will need to be worn with adhesive and others are easy to just slide on and go!

Toppers clip into the hair at top of the head. It’s a like mini wig clips to securely fasten hair close to the base of the scalp. They do not cover the whole head and, therefore, do not hide our biological hair but are used to enhance our natural hair or conceal thinning at various stages and different areas of the scalp. The base size of the topper for example 8x8 means the topper will provide coverage over an 8 inch by 8 inch area so knowing the size of the area you are wanting coverage for is important when deciding if a topper is right for you. Toppers can be both wefted and hand tied, wefted tend to be fuller in density and hand tied offer a bit more stretch with their cap.
